What if the peace you’ve been chasing was never outside you but always in the breath you forgot to trust?”
Standing in the shower this morning, listening to Lee Harris’ album I Am Peace, something aligned within me. I realized:
I am peace. I am the peace I am seeking. I am the peace others are drawn to. I am the peace of breath in the absence of becoming anything.

So often in life, we assume we are meant to become the best versions of ourselves. As someone with a traumatic past, I made it my mission to always become that best version of myself. But this created a life of people-pleasing and masking. I had confused “being the best version of myself” with the belief that who I was wasn’t good enough and needed constant molding.
This led to many relationships where I was the only one doing the work, allowing others to use me as an escape goat for their insecurities and lack of inner reflection. I always felt it was my job to make others around me comfortable and happy, and if they were not, then it must be because I am not doing my best.
People Please and Self Trust
I was always internally asking, “How can I be better here? How can I grow here? What is this teaching me?” But I wasn’t asking, “What is my Oversoul whispering to me right now?” or “What teachable moment is present, not for me to heal someone else, but for me to truly live and breathe from Oversoul guidance, even if that means upsetting someone or setting a boundary?”
Because we all view the world through our own inner lenses and perceptions, we are never really seeing the world as it is. We are seeing the world as WE are, through the limited perception of our own unique experiences. Understanding this gives us, as women, the freedom to step away from what others think of us and gives us permission to love ourselves where we are in each moment. We are enough and while inner reflection is important, and so is growth, it should never be done at the expense of our own intuition and Oversoul Guidance.
So, Does this mean we don’t strive to always be our best? No. Growth requires inner reflection and course correction when we know we can do better. When our soul has a message and it’s time for a glow up, we will hear that message loud and clear, but only if we are connected to our soul’s voice. When we learn to LOVE ourselves, our light and our shadow equally, that voice becomes loud and clear. In that process, people-pleasing and masking fall away, and we are left with our innermost truth in each moment.
So my question for you is this: What if we all stopped striving to ‘become’ and just allowed ourselves to listen to the breath within and let it guide us? What if we stopped striving to become and allowed ourselves to just be present and let that be enough??
This is how we stop People Please and learn to lean into Self Trust.
Constantly striving to become your best version could very well be what is keeping you in the darkness. Constantly striving to become your best version may sometimes be part of what keeps you in the darkness. I have come to understand my own experiences of depression and anxiety as signals calling me inward, invitations to become still enough to listen more deeply to my Oversoul and to what my body was asking me to hear. And that clarity… we won’t find it in relationships, jobs, doomscrolling or consumerism, because clarity can only come when all is silenced but the breath from within.
We are not lost. We are not broken. We are not late. We are in perfect timing with our Oversoul. Breathe with Oversoul, ask it for guidance and support and be still in the silence until your truth echos clearly throughout your energy body. When it speaks with that clarity you will know, because you are the peace you are seeking and you hold all the answers to that peace within you.
There is nothing to become, only energy to release that no longer serves who you were meant to be before the world told you who you were.
Let’s let that be enough for today.
Warm Love,
Luna
